What is a fuel injector Connector
The fuel injector connector is used to make the connection between the incoming current to the fuel injector and the engine management system. Opening and closing is controlled by switching the current flow on and off. The action of switching the current on and off is controlled by the engine management system. These fuel injector connectors are also referred to as injector clips, injector pigtails or injector wires.

Conditions around the engine such as vibration, high temperature, oil, chemicals and corrosive fumes cause the connectors to become brittle and eventually either become loose or break. The pins inside the connector become corroded and loose their ability to make proper contact. Once this happens the fuel injector does not receive a proper signal from the engine management system and the injector starts to misfire or in some cases does not fire at all.
Except for the visual appearance of cracks in the connector, problems such as rough idle, misfires, bad fuel consumption, lack of power, sluggish acceleration and stumbling during cruise can also be contributed to a bad injector connector.

Example: You turbo charged your Honda and you want to use E85. You need a set of 2000 cc injectors but unfortunately KeiHin does not make the size injectors you need for your application. You can buy 2000 cc or 190 lb Bosch injectors but to use them you need a different style injector connector. With our Honda to EV6 adapter you can plug the EV6 side of the adapter into the fuel injector. Then plug the original Honda connector into the Honda side of the adapter and you are set. Ready to go.
