Throttle Body Cleaning Services

Restore Smooth Power and Fuel Efficiency with Professional Throttle Body Cleaning

Your throttle body controls how air enters your engine. And when it’s dirty, performance suffers. Over time, carbon buildup and grime can block airflow, causing rough idling, stalling, sluggish acceleration, and poor fuel economy.

At Injector RX, we provide professional throttle body cleaning to restore smooth, responsive performance and help your engine breathe like new.

What’s Included in Our Throttle Body Cleaning Service

Safe, Non-Abrasive Cleaning

We use professional-grade, non-abrasive cleaners to remove carbon buildup without harming sensitive electronic components.

Complete Inspection

Our technicians check the throttle plate, bore, and sensors for dirt, wear, or malfunction to ensure your system runs efficiently.

Idle Relearn Assistance

If necessary, we’ll reset your throttle position sensor (TPS) to ensure your engine idles smoothly after cleaning.

Pair with Fuel Injector Cleaning

For maximum performance, combine your throttle body service with fuel injector cleaning — improving both airflow and fuel delivery.

Our Automotive Injector Cleaning Process:

Our detailed cleaning and testing process ensures that your automotive fuel injectors are returned to you in optimal working condition:

  1. Ohm Testing & Visual Inspection: Upon receiving your injectors, we first test their electrical resistance and inspect them for any external damage.
  2. External Cleaning: The injectors are then externally cleaned and numbered for tracking.
  3. Leak Testing: We pressurize the injectors to check for any leaks at the pintle, ball, or disc seat.
  4. Initial Flow Testing: We perform initial flow testing to assess the spray pattern, atomization, distribution, and flow rate. These results are recorded.
  5. Component Removal (if applicable): If manufacturer-approved replacements are available, we remove filter baskets, O-rings, and pintle caps.
  6. Ultrasonic Cleaning: The injectors are placed in an ultrasonic bath with a biodegradable cleaning solution and pulsed open and closed thousands of times to remove internal deposits.
  7. Back-Flushing: After ultrasonic cleaning, a high-pressure back-flush is performed to remove any remaining particles.
  8. Final Testing: The cleaned injectors are re-tested for leaks, spray pattern, atomization, distribution, and flow rate. These results are compared to manufacturer standards.
  9. Component Replacement (if applicable): New O-rings, filter baskets, and pintle caps are installed.
  10. Lubrication and Packaging: The serviced injectors are lubricated and placed in sealed poly bags.
  11. Comprehensive Test Report: A detailed report of the before and after flow testing results is prepared and returned with your cleaned injectors.

Types of Automotive Injectors We Service:

We service most types of gasoline-based fuel injectors found in cars and trucks, including:

  • Multi-Port Fuel Injectors (MPI)
  • Gasoline Direct Injectors (GDI)

Please note: We do not service diesel injectors or GM Vortec CPI injector “spider” assemblies.

The Drawbacks of DIY and Fuel Injector Cleaners:

While DIY fuel injector cleaning might seem simple, it is often ineffective, dangerous, and can pose a fire hazard. DIY methods lack the proper equipment for thorough cleaning, testing, and verification of results. In fact, 100% of fuel injectors we have tested after DIY cleaning failed minimum performance standards.

Similarly, fuel injector cleaners added to your gas tank can loosen debris that then clogs the small filter baskets within the injectors. Rail-induced cleaners can even damage injector components. These methods also offer no way to verify actual cleaning or performance improvements. Cleaning injectors by removing them from the engine is the only accurate, reliable, and guaranteed way to confirm they are clean.
